Today started off on the gloomy outside but no worries here at Julie's Home Daycare, we made our way to the gym for CCB Gym Day. The kids enjoyed riding on the bikes, playing basketball, riding the bouncy truck and climbing into the loft. JZ's mom was able to join us for a little bit so we all teamed up and rode the little push bikes around after each other. Getting down to the level of a child sure can be fun, however I can tell you one thing it's not easy and my legs sure did feel it after a couple minutes of riding around the gym!
We returned home to HM Mac & Cheese with Ham chunks, carrot sticks and tropical fruit for lunch. The first half of the day ended with our daily walk around the neighborhood, Story time and a nap. It is nice having a little time in the afternoon to get caught up on paperwork and work on my curriculum for the next week.
Now that school is back in session my mornings are a bit on the quiet side, it is alright though, I don't mind taking a little break from the normal house load of 6+ children. Come 3 o'clock each day I still get a full blast of activity when four school children come rushing through my doors to tell me all about their day at school and to get to play once again with the friends they have made over the years of being here at daycare. Today we ate snack down stairs and then made our way out to the back yard to play on the climbers, catch bubbles, play ball with Moby and tag! Some of the kids are just way to fast for me to catch these days.
Apple picking tomorrow - weather permitting, so keep your fingers crossed for no rain!
Today was another great day at Julie's Home Daycare!
